April first walked through the doors of Dance Konnection over 20 years ago when her daughters signed up for their very first classes. She didn’t know then just how much the studio would come to mean to her family. Through the years, it’s been a constant—through busy seasons, growing children, and the ordinary chaos of family life.

April and her husband Jeff have nine children: Trinity, Justice, Kale, Kendall, Kaynen, Garrett, Ronan, Callon, and Boston. Some are now grown, others still at home—but no matter their age or interest, April has always been passionate about supporting her kids as they discover who they are and what they love.

She believes deeply in giving children room to grow, and in the importance of spaces—like Dance Konnection—that help them find their identity, build confidence, and feel seen.

In her quiet moments, April enjoys simple, creative joys: writing, crocheting, jazz music, a good cup of tea, and time spent in faith. These small things help her stay grounded, grateful, and connected to what matters most.
